Hello and welcome to DSD! I’m Jenni and I started this blog back in 2009 as a way to keep track of the food I was making in college. The blog grew with me as I went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in dietetics, got married, bought a house, completed my dietetic internship at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, passed my Registered Dietitian (RD) exam, and started working as a dietitian. The blog is still with me as I start the newest part of my journey as I start working towards my Masters in Dietetics.
As a dietitian, I am pretty good at spouting off nutritional advice and telling people “hey, this is what you should eat!” I struggle with putting that into practice. Real life to me means balancing work, grad school, my husband, dogs, family, and working out. And somewhere in there I’m supposed to get some sleep and eat healthy food. I can’t even imagine what life would be like if we had kids. I believe that food should taste good. It should be fun. It shouldn’t stress you out. It shouldn’t break the bank.
I would be lying if I said that I never had a night where all I wanted to do was throw a frozen pizza into the oven or call for some delivery and collapse on the couch. The truth is that I almost never give in to this urge.
My blog is a balance of quick and easy weeknight meals, more involved dishes that would be perfect if you had some extra time, and my favorite – desserts. I want to show you that good food isn’t difficult. It just requires a little bit of planning and a lot of love. I hope you come back often to see what I’m up to!

Hi. this is kind of an -unconventional- question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you,ve got it? I also have a blog and am genuinely searching to alter around the theme, nonetheless am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I’m genuinely new to all of this so i’m just not positive precisely the method to attempt to to it all however. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time.
